Physical Layout

Physical Layout Diagram
  • Drops will have a service loop of at least 5' (Approx 2 loops)
  • Bundles will be secured with velcro so that they can be modified
  • The server cabinet will have its own switch to minimize cable mess between the racks
  • The relay rack will need to be bolted to the floor
  • Cables will be run through hooks on the ceiling or along conduit on the walls
  • Since the cable supply is a mix of Cat5 and Cat5e, it will be ensured that each box has at least two runs of Cat5e
